Tragic Romance

This is it- the opening,
the climax, and now
the end.
I should have known our
story would end in tragedy-
what other way could
there be?
Things were perfect- which
I guess is the
problem.
Maybe we shouldn't have
tempted Fate?
Dared her to ruin our
invincible romance?
Or maybe we were doomed
from the beginning.
