How does time pass,
And where does it go?
It's undeniable stamp
On the eyes and the soul
What keeps it in
Leather skin?
The day escapes us,
The night eludes us.
As we eat and drink,
Talk and blink,
Sit and think,
Does it have someplace to be?
And is it sad when it is wasted?
As it tick tocks ever so slowly
Maybe we should have chased it
How did time pass,
And where did it go?
