I Never Thought Forever Would End This Soon

You said we were best friends,
through and through,
but you lied,
what you said wasn't true,
you told me our friendship would never wilt,
and now that it has,
you feel no guilt,
now i tell all my joys, problems, and secrets,
to the moon because i can’t trust you,
you said our friendship would last forever,
now you say it would have never,
and as i sit and tell my life to the moon,
i tell him,
“i never thought forever would end this soon.”
