Can't Stay, Can't Go
No matter how long
she waits tonight
his words won’t get any warmer
and the invisible substance
inside him
won’t get any weaker.
Staring into his deep blue eyes,
there was something about him that was so beautiful,
yet so dangerous.
His words and actions are so unpredictable
impossible to tame.
If the weather is pleasant,
his finger tips will glide across
her face
her legs,
and her stomach,
so delicately with love and tenderness
It will tickle, but in a good way.
He will leave goose bumps, but the good ones
if the weather is terrifying,
she’ll drown into him,
her lungs will be so close to bursting
She will almost
suffocate.
His tide will be too strong to handle,
And the taste of his forced lips
won’t be hidden anymore.
It will be purely bitter, no secrets, no games.
His body will crash upon her with strength
that he didn’t even know he had,
taking things from her that took forever to build
when the storm is over,
she’ll be back to where she was
seeing something that is so beautiful,
yet so dangerous.
And it will be her choice
on whether to dive back in or not
with the outcome being unknown.
