The Passion We Once Carried
Sustaining the paths we chose and maintaining the life we have paves the way to our death.
Tying, binding our souls to the faith. Not to be intertwined in the vision everyone sees but what you’re meant to believe.
Death not being something to fear but a promise that is always kept and should be cherished.
The people of this world will hold their loved ones in their hearts. And they still hear them in that moment, their last words.
But the truth being that this is what they say.
The truth being that they find comfort in their own suffering. Holding their heads up to force the illusion.
Sanctity but no resilience. They see no means to worry.
It’s a body in the ground, and that’s all there will be.
A body buried below a stone that will erode away, erasing their memory.
And they still keep them in their hearts.
