Sea Turtles

Young turtles nestle beneath a blanket of sand
Encased in a shell of warmth and comfort.
Powerful waves of envy lash out
Fading away on a pebbled sanctuary.
Only for so long, can a young turtle hide
Shying away from all who might harm him.
Into the fury he must then go, the sea of unknown,
If he wishes to learn to swim.
