Of the beauty and the beast her lover—
A classic, timeless tale.
Its pages worn and torn all over,
And its worth one can't assail.

But there is yet uncommon beauty
In the beast's imposing figure.
He overcame a wicked deed
And was restored to youth and vigor.

And within the beauty lies a beast
Residing in her heart.
Her father's will she did not heed,
And so they were kept apart.

A new view of an age-old children's fiction
Shows the story's just begun.
Not all is found in flat depiction
And beast and beauty are one.

Was just listening to Sinatra's "The Lady is a Tramp" and thought about what other literary and movie characters could be melded.
