He offered her the world but she already had her own.

In these bubbles
I see Cinderella cleaning
doesn’t she know
her Prince Charming is waiting?
In these bubbles
I see Aurora sleeping
doesn’t she know

her Prince Charming is fighting?
In these bubbles
I see Snow White running
doesn’t she know
her Prince Charming is trying?
In these bubbles
I see Pocahontas helping
doesn’t she know
her Prince Charming is leaving?
In these bubbles
I see Jasmine flying
doesn’t she know
her Prince Charming is sinking?
In these bubbles
I see Belle reading
doesn’t she know
her Prince Charming is changing?
In these bubbles
I see fictional lies
don’t you know
love only ends with goodbyes?

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because I have always babysat small children who watch fairytales and the young girls dream of their prince charming everyday. But somebody has to tell them that not all these stories are true and that its a lot harder than you think.
