Black and White
She stands,
draped with a red cloak--
a silent beauty in the corner.
A friend sits down next to her,
pulls off her crimson,
silky covering,
and teaches her to sing.
Tunes of sweetness,
rage,
bliss,
exhilaration
glide from her smooth body,
bringing nearby listeners to heaven.
Her ivory fingers,
and painted black nails
move up and down
as her voice drifts down the hall,
feeding hungry ears.
When her friend stands up to leave
she falls silent.
Waiting for another person
to sing to.
