Ultimately
Ultimately, we are only as strong as the ground beneath us;
Only as safe as the ceiling above us;
Only as secure as the walls that surround us;
Only as loved as the people that love us.
We are only real because of those who see us.
We’re only tall because there are others shorter.
We are only in the present because of the past.
We only have limits because somone set boarders.
We only fear because someone taught us how.
We’re only alone becaue someone wasn’t there.
We’re only as predictable as the road we travel.
We’re only caring when there’s a reason to care.
We are not human because we chose to be;
We’re imperfect in our own right.
So thank you to those who pushed us down,
We couldn’t have won without a fight.
And thank you to those who picked us up,
Who were our stars at the end of the day,
Who told us more than just words
When we needed to know it’d be okay.
