I May Say
I may say, "I love you."
and only tell a lie.
Then leave you behind me,
asking yourself, "why?"
I may shout, "I don't need you!"
Yet then pull you close.
Making you wonder,
how my mind goes.
I may scream, "I hate you!"
and pull you in a hug.
Wrap you in my arms,
and make you feel snug.
I may declare, "I'm hungry."
and then leave the booth.
But once, I'll say "I love you."
and it will be the truth
