IN THE WILD, WILD, WEST

May 18, 2014

The sun blazing
The steers gazing
Trails across the plains,
The wild, wild, west.

The steers lead the heard
Long strong horns,
Thick though skin,
Old cows striding ‘cross the land

Times are hard
Days are long
The sunburn is real,
But in the end its worth it all.

Clothes are built for the job I do
My boots are tough
My jeans stained blue
My cowboy hat, my cowboy hat.

The plains are hot
The grass is tall
The creeks are small
And the hills are long

Heading up North
The cattle sell well
The job is long
Indiana here I come.
