Happiness Awaits

Sadness slipped in today,
I didn’t know if it would go away.
I felt my happiness slip,
I felt that this was it.
Left alone and shattered,
Nothing else seemed to matter.
Just looking at the glass half empty,
No one showed any empathy.
I pulled myself up,
Realizing no one else would.
I did what I had too,
Knowing I could.
And now here I am before you,
Standing so lively and true.
If I pulled myself out of the dark,
Than so can you.
