Paint Me
Paint me like a canvas
With oil red like blood
Define all of my humps and bumps
Like sand washed by a flood
Paint me like a mural
With brushing strokes so grand
Expand all of my fears to hopes
Like your lowered head now stands
Perhaps I’m but a writer
Infatuated with your brain
But, paint me like a book
Spot ink in every grain
You have the power to my story
Show me it’s not in vain
