My Life is a Baseball

My life is a baseball,
Even though I am intact,
I have a lot of stitches.
My life is a baseball,
I am guided by the pitcher’s hand,
And he is in control of my life.
He might throw a curveball,
But I know that he is for me and not against me.

My life is a baseball,
When I fall,
I am caught.
My life is a baseball,
I might hit a bump,
Or a rock,
And change my course.
But I know that no matter what,
He will be chasing after me.
I return to the mound,
Where I know I will be safe and sound.
And when I am soaring high above,
I know that I have a special place,
In his glove.

This is an extended metaphor for how my life is guided by "The Pitcher's Hand."
