Old Faces
Two choices smacked me in the face
I could only choose one
Be a fan that attends the basketball game.
Be a lazy person and stay home.
My output could have a huge impact on my life
I watch my mother
Preparing to leave
Her eyes stared me down like I didn’t have a choice
I prepared to leave with her,
Because the outcomes would be the same
And both we walked at a pace
Into the stadium where we would enjoy our evening
I’d made it half way through.
Out of the corner of my eye appears an old face
With excitement I ran to it, knowing I would’ve regret not going
I shall begin with a shriek
Somewhere in the far future,
Two choices appeared in my presence
I took the more eventful one,
And that has made all the better
