Fools
Remember the time we were happy like fools?
Playing a game, but we didn’t know the rules
We weren’t invincible, we called it being in-love
You were the only person I could think of
to spend everyday and every minute with
I had hope that true love wasn’t a myth.
But this has become a hopeless case
because between us there’s a physical space
I haven’t seen your face in two years
Never hearing your voice again is one of my fears
My heart feels ripped out and I want to shout,
I want to scream to the world and let it out
“I love you, and I always will.”
