Love is a fire
It blazes passion in my soul
Love sparks as a small flame
And grows
With every moment it lives
It glows, brighter and brighter
Becoming too powerful
So uncontrollable it singes my heart
The more it scorches my soul
In a smoke so thick
I become engulfed
So dense that I can’t breathe
So we extinguish the fire
The aftermath smolders me
All that is left are the ashes
Of a love that once was
