Dangerous Attraction
I’ve heard your name before
You are notorious
As I walk down the hall
John and Ben
One on each side
I see you
At least, I hope it’s you
I tell Ben that you're here,
Because you guys are friends.
He avoids conversation
He doesn't want people to know he knows you
We walk away quickly
But we aren't fast enough
You say “Hi” to Ben
Then turn to me
Our eyes lock
And I can’t take mine off of you
Something about you
Makes me swoon
Your eyes
Your hair
Your lips
Your everything
But part of me says no
I know your past
But the more I look,
The more I believe
You’re not who they say you are
So now
as I sit here
writing this
I can’t help but think:
Do I act
or
do I stay put?
Do I put my walls up
or
trust my instincts?
Only time will tell
But the more I see
The more I hear
and notice
The more I know
what I have to do
but
until we meet again
You will drive me crazy
