First I have technology tools,
Mrs. Radtke has too many rules

In gym he makes us run about three laps
And at the end I think I am going to collapse

Next is history where we learn about Greece
He tells us everything about world peace

Johansen is next where we practice similes
She shows us all of her abilities

In math we learn about x and slope
Then I have to learn about isotopes

Then Stanley teaches us about some rocks
When other kids would rather fold some socks

Last is Franzen where we cook up a storm
Where we use cake pans that are in a form

Advisory with Cordes is last
When I soon realize that the day went fast

The poem I wrote was a poem called A Short Day which is a rhyme poem written in couplets. Readers should know that this poem explains my day head to toe. It tells a little bit about each class and teacher who teaches it. My inspiration for this poem was my teachers and what I normally do in a day at school. I was trying to convey a happy mood and I used word choice to express the general mood of the poem. I also used some figurative language in my poem, such as idioms and more.
