Part of the FIre
It was your hand that brought me to my knees,
your hand that threatened, burned and teased.
Devouring my innocent heart with your tainting cruelty.
Being the person I am isn't good, good enough,
I know your life has been beyond painstakingly rough,
a fake smile is all that you desire,
but child, that's all part of this burning fire.
You'll break and you'll bend,
against the desires,
ingrained within your own head.
You'll scream and you'll cry,
because dear child,
you don't want to die, to be passed on by.
It's a circle in this cruel unhallowed place:
I've been through the most unbearable pain,
and yet, I continue living, today.
