Break
What is it about
The way we live our lives
That starves us for something else?
Everyone tires of monotony,
Yet, the gentle lull of routine
Can be so irresistible
We laze in the safety of habit,
but it gets so heavy,
It weighs down our bones
We can no longer be inveterate!
We must break the bonds of perpetuity
We crave the unfamiliar
Yet we wait for change
to come to us,
We wait for snow
to melt into flowers,
We wait for love
to find our hearts
But I am tired of waiting
I want to go and search
I want to chase after it
Through fields and trees
Past sunsets and highways
I want to be stopped by nothing
And I want each day to end how it began –
Invigorated
