The weights on my feet
the velcro affect
the plushness and scary bits of it
the little in between moments

The velcro affect
I never liked that feeling anyway
the little in between moments
gravity on our cheeks, pulling

I never liked that question anyway
"how does that make you feel?"
sadness on our cheeks, pulling
freight train head pulse

"how does that make you feel?"
hopscotch my heart hollow
freight train head pulse
dog trot, the cul de sac

Hopscotch my heart hollow
drop box
dog trot, the cul de sac
one last time

Drop box
heavy like my gaze
one last time
wrinkle crinkle your expression

heavy like my gaze
tug at my ears
wrinkle crinkle your expression
confidante

tug at my ears
time heals all wounds
confidante
cross my heart

Time heals all wounds
from the velcro affect
cross my heart and hope to die
these weights on my feet will cling no more
