I Fell In Love...
The truck came speeding by
 Speeding down the cul-de-sac
The cart attached to the back
Looked like it was going to tip over
And all the landscaping supplies would fall out
The noise would have been heard all over the neighborhood

 I wanted to run outside
And yell at the idiots driving
 But refrained from doing so
Especially when I saw the two boys step out of the truck
They didn’t look a day over twenty
They looked like they just received their license

 I watched them disappear
I heard their machines making sounds
 As they gobbled up grass
 It’s only been ten minutes
And one of them is folding up the ramp
 Can they be done already?
 Please don’t leave!

He went to retrieve his leaf blower
 Relief
Is love at first sight impossible?
 Maybe…
But I fell in love with the way he walked
With the perfect shade of his skin
And I loved they way he looked in such casual clothes
 But that wasn’t all…
I fell in love with the familiar feelings I felt when I saw him
