The Darkness

The darkness is comforting. It sits inside me and grows. The pain it causes drowns out the pain I cause myself. It lives because of the damage in life. It feeds off worry and anger and fear. The light is near. The light is home. One day the light will save me from myself, but for now the darkness is my comfort.
