Words Of Wisdom
Gandhi preached as from grace the British fell,
The paths to heaven ran through miles of clouded hell
“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”
This was a wake-up call to all mankind
Vengeance makes losers of us all
It bends the world backwards, destroying our nation, making it fall
It is the venom of a snake on the loose
It is the anger refusing to be diffused
We must be determined to make the law of truth reign supreme
To put an end to violence and despair for all human beings
Peace will bring war to a resounding silence
No more can we seek revenge in our defiance
As the British Empire stands in its reign
India could not its independence and freedom obtain
Marching 240 miles to bring an end to the salt tax
Fasting to stop the communal fight between two pacts
The Father of a Nation wore a shawl, a self-sufficient modesty
He predicted and believed it to be a self-fulfilled prophecy
Gandhi came from a wealthy family and wearing clothes of a slave was uncommonly
He dressed this way to make a call to action, a way to stop this atrocity
The path of vengeance is making people frown
Gandhi’s words prevent us from remaining down
When negativity surrounds, we’ll know one day it’ll all turn around
All positive actions bring every effort to a positive rebound
Gandhi’s actions spread throughout the nation
The Great Soul’s progress bloomed like a wild carnation
He finally crossed the finish line of his dream
Rebels shouted “everything is not what it seems”
A true Satyagraha puts an end to this madness
Violence, hate, vengeance and sadness
His message we must continue to consult
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness will be the result
