The Great White Moon

The night was dark and still,
The trees swayed left and right,
Peace was what God willed,
And the great white moon shone bright,

Then people began to vanish,
To disappear into the night,
God's fragile peace was tarnished,
And the great white moon shone bright,

Then they began to appear,
The screams and tears of fright,
Echoed in every joyful cheer,
And the great white moon shone bright,

Then the fires flickered to life,
Red in the pale moonlight,
So died sons, so died wives,
And the great white moon shone bright,

The Christians walked down every street,
So vain in their own might,
Many a dead Jew did they meet,
As the great white moon shone bright.
