My War
Unification was the dream
Families wish for unification on the dinner table
But they all know peacefully achieving this is only a fable
Who shall curl their fist and swing the first punch
Are they willing for the sacrifice
Both sides are afraid of one another
The result: arms are brought together
Who shall make the first move
Who shall bring the wretched mood
The hour has come
The Loaded Gun has been fired
Young boys rise from their mother’s laps
They follow a red banner
They are not afraid
For they are the army of the People
The other is unprepared
Struck is he at his most vulnerable moment
All he can do is run down the street shouting
Retreat the North has come Retreat
As ten thousand followed by ten thousand more attack the city
Murder and pillaging is what comes next to unlucky
The North push onward
Confidence is with them
No field, no woods, no mountain will ever stop them
But on the brink of achieving their dream,
They were attacked by an unforeseen enemy
The sky was filled with debris
Every effort to stop this sudden attack was useless
By the end of the day those young boys are nothing but hopeless
Their fate seemed to be woven
But their leader called to them once more!
Fight for the people he said, fight for your future children, fight for you dream
And fight they did
They stopped the colossus and rooted him to his feet
But they were tired and the orders were called for a retreat
