I Bet You Didnt Know
There are different types of people,
A species for each kind.
Some who sit and text all day,
And some with a great mind.
But with everyone you see,
A stereotype keeps them inside.
It’s that lie; the rumour, what we believe,
That builds the shame, to make them hide.
The girl with the pretty smile,
And the makeup on her face;
I bet you didn’t know,
She competes in a motocross race.
That boy who acts so cool,
With the gel to keep his hair;
I bet you didn’t know,
He’s a math genius who none compare.
The girl who seems so shy,
With her head behind a book;
I bet you didn’t know,
She has a hidden talent, so have a second look.
So what your eyes may see,
And what your mind thinks indeed,
I bet you didn’t know,
There’s more knowledge that you need.
