The Maze

Dark shadows take over
My hands tremble in fear
Wind howls while i walk alone
With just the company of the moon above me
I'm in a maze with lots of paths that no one will ever get to be in
For this maze was made for only one person and that person is me

I'm pacing through a path
Filled with different people
Some I know and others I don't
But I know when i walk out of this maze I won't be alone

Even with all the individuals around me
Sometimes I feel alone and desperate for some company
I hear the judgments people make of me

But even through the rough times I stay strong
For I know when people that when I get out of this maze my friends and family will await for me

Next I decide to take a path that has no light
Nobody seems to realize that
But I am looking at the things I do not want to see
To my left I see a child dying of hunger and ground
Another with an incurable disease
And to my right I see a body lying cold and dead
I run out this way because I am afraid to see the reality of life

But then, once you take a path that has light
I see the children whose faces show joy and love
They seem to be having a lot of fun
But that's all have a happy end
But enjoy it while you can

I run into a dead end
Makes me want to scream in frustration
Because I've traveled so far to only have to start again
But after I calm down I remember the good things

Because when I leave here, I'm finally going to break down the walls around me
And I'll be free to be happy with those I love deeply
Oh, and when that day comes I will feel more pain or sadness because I chose my destiny
No fear there will be more for only light
Because I know in my heart that life will be amazing

And even now I feel lost
There will come a day when I will feel the sun shines bright and hot in front of me
For when that day the great maze made of darkness will be destroyed
Because I found a way to anchor myself and ignore the pain in life
And focus only on the happiness in the world
