&quot;Writing free verse is like playing tennis with the net down.&quot;<br /> -Robert Frost

Flowers rest upon
The great grass plains of earth.
The wind stirs the air.

The rabbits bounce in their home
As the sky forms a cloud dome.

The starry night sky
Orbits the flower’s small world,
And the rabbits feast.

The stars twinkle up above.
The world also has doves.

The doves stir the air
And twirl around the currents
Of the spinning earth.

The sun signals new days come
And says that the doves are done.

Great swans chase the fish,
And the frogs hop on lilies.
When the doves go home.

The little world doves care for,
Is one of many, lots more.

The bees have their world,
Hives hanging from boughs of trees.
They hunt for nectar.

And the fishes own one too.
Swimming in seas with one shoe.

Many seas apart,
The great elephants march on,
Waiting for the end.

The end when all will be one.
Not detached, with lots of fun.

But some think diff’rent,
That the world will never end,
And we are perfect.

Different thoughts sprout great strife.
None now has a perfect life.

And the end is coming…
