Hate Not Love
it is time to say goodbye
I don’t believe that
You are the one because
You will damage my heart
and I am not pursing that
my happiness is a moment with you
it is time to go our separate ways
because I don’t see that
Our love will go on endlessly
I speak the truth when I declare that
We aren’t meant to be
it is a lie when those corrupt lips say
We live in a relationship of joy
You and me together
with wounding hearts, fake smiles, and sadness
We are not even close
in understanding what pulsing hearts, continuous laughter, and happiness really is
You are my first
heartbreak
not my
true love
now you are and always will be my
enemy
not
my soul mate
forever and always you will be
that shadowed, alienated stranger
because I will never be
Your one and only, your girl
I promise you that I am
expressing my honest feelings
“I love you” is me
lying, too
I am not
happy with you
I truly am
miserable and losing hope
I will never be
wearing that smile you gave me and
I will always be
expunging those special moments with you
and I will never allow myself to keep
reliving those precious memories
You and I
gone
because you’re never
there for me
it is you that is always
keeping me waiting with emptiness and loneliness
that is when I tell myself “I’ll be okay,” when I know that you will never be
holding me in your arms again
all of this can change
if we reverse it
