Have you ever wondered how your life would turn out without one of your best friends? In Deadly by Sara Shepard four girls are learning exactly that.
Four girls, Hannah, Emily, Aria, and Spencer were lured into the attic of Spencer’s lake house by Ali. Ali told them to close their eyes and as they did she snuck out the door locking them in there. When the smell of smoke made the girls open their eyes, the fire was already surrounding them. They rushed out of the house realizing Ali was trying to get rid of them. She had already gotten away when they finally made it outside.
A few days later Ali went missing and no one knew what happened to her. When her dead body was found, the girls had to begin to deal with the fact that one of their once best friends was dead. Well, so they thought.
The girls now have obstacles to face everyday due to the death of their friend Ali. Not only do they have to deal with what happened to Ali, but they are being stalked by an unknown person going by the name of A. How much more can these girls from the little town of Rosewood take? You're just about to find out.
One person knew all of their secrets, all the bad things they’ve done in the past, and were getting them in trouble for these things all at one time? Is that even possible? The girls have one possible explanation. There is another A, possibly Ali. Could she really be dead or did she just tell people to say she was so she could taunt her friends?
When the girls suspect that A is not only after them anymore, but their friends too, they decide to take action. They tell the local police about their situation and get bodyguards to protect them and their friends. Will it be enough?
A still gets through to taunting them, so they decide to set out to look for Ali and A themselves. Will they find anyone? Is Ali actually alive? You’ll have to read Deadly to find out.
I really liked this book and thought it seemed very realistic and there were many twists that surprised me. It was a great book that I didn’t want to put down! I would recommend it to any teen girls who may be interested in an action filled drama with a little bit of mystery. Deadly is the eleventh book in the Pretty Little Liars series and I would suggest reading the other books first or you may get lost or confused.
