Inseparable

I am the oldest.

I am the youngest.
I’ll forever be 11 years apart.

When I was your age,

When I am your age,
I cared for you like my daughter.

I’ll be as patient as you were.

Mom and dad always wanted a baby boy.

They wished for him after me.

Never heard one complaint about it now.

Your company is never a bother.
You’re the only one

That I can share my secrets with.

That I can always go to for help.

Tighter than triple knotted tied shoelaces.
I’m weaved into your life.

Nothing can ever come between us.

Rivalry is not an option.
Inseparable.

Even though daddy loves you more.

Even though mommy loves you more.

I do my best to make both proud.

Proud to have the place of a valedictorian.

Proud to be going to college.
Proud to have a healthy son.

Proud to keep on moving.

I am the oldest.

I am the youngest.
