Infinite Ends
Four massive paws dart across full, warm grass;
The summer fades, and the sky turns ashen.
Life drowns, and fog clings to my window glass,
The daylight rendering less reaction.
Bouts of spirit reconnect with the past,
The sun’s fresh glow soothing aching passion.
Time is not conquered; no one is at fault.
Four massive paws ponder the porch, then halt.
