Upstairs
I rest on a bed of clouds
I mumble to the Lord
I argue with my fears ‘til I hear no sounds, as she awaits me downstairs.
She loves me so
I secretly took a vow to seek the reason for my joyless smile.
I told her to run far
As there is pure evil circulating in my veins, but she chose to stay.
She loves me so
