Would I Be Able To
Would I be able to fall into a puddle of water, open my eyes and see the bottom of the wonders sea
Slide my fingers along an umbrella and have no water run off onto my fingertips
Lean from one side to the other without the fear of the fall
Run against the great Alaskan wind with no worries or memories in my head
Learn to relearn how to love as we all did as children
Take a liking for food that makes my nose and forehead cringe up
Feel great pain from someone I love and walk away with forgiveness
Accept death as not an enemy yet someone looking forward to meeting me
Rather pull someone closer towards my heart instead of forcing them off with a shove of regret
Keep my secrets not bottled up yet told to others to make them feel less alone
Make a change in the world, no, make a change in others’ lives creating happiness and the chance to dream once again
Spin inside an old wood cabin house with a person I love, grow fifty years older and still be doing the same
Not see the mirror as such a chore but a reward to see who I have grown into as a human
