Slam!
Once again, I ate the ground,
Pushed by the girl who weighed five hundred pounds.

Bam!
We collided once more,
And she yanked at the uniform that I proudly wore.

“Ref!”
I angrily yelled.
And ten feet through the air I had been propelled.

I figured he must be deaf,
But I tried again, “When will you call the foul?”
Then the ball began to approach me, and I heard that animal growl.

Ready,
I planted my feet,
And I knew I wouldn’t be beat.

She attacked, but I was steady,
And with an eloquent move,
The girl was easy to remove.

I made my way past her,
And I sprinted to the goalie.
I heard the screams of my mother
As I scored a goal that was practically holy.

This poem is a perfect representation of my emotions during a soccer game. When I am constantly and over aggressively pushed by another player, a kind of hatred begins to stir inside of me that creates a burning desire to beat that player. Here I created my ideal situation when something like that were to happen.
