Christmas is just around the corner,
The shopping madness has only begun.
The speed of people passing by,
Tired children begin to cry.
Mothers overwhelmed with presents for all,
Families spread, overflowing the mall.
Exhausted employees,
Succeed with ease
To fill impatient customers’ needs.
Mothers’ catch a sale,
As fathers’ quickly bail.
Tired feet,
Streets covered with sleet,
Traffic slows,
Frustration grows.
The Christmas cheer,
Is nowhere near.
What is the reason for this season?
Joyful smiles of the children.
Snowflakes building,
Snowmen chillin’.
Services filling to celebrate
All that is great.
The birth of our savior and redeemer.
That is the reason,
For the season.
