So It Goes
The alarm goes off and my eyes slowly open,
'Get out of bed' I think and so I angrily do.
I get ready and leave the house only hopin',
This day will end as fast as my life will too.
I walk into a facility meant for learning and studies,
It's seen thru my eyes as the epicenter of cliches and lies.
It's depicted to be a fun place with new experiences and buddies,
But is just a hell hole of insecurities, problems, and cries.
There's not a single thing I can understand of this place,
Whether tis the books, the atmosphere, or the faces.
It seems like a hopeless maze and a never-ending chase,
Just a pair of rigid sneakers with intangible laces.
And I make my way home and my safe haven is what it's not,
It just feeds into my worries and greatest unbearable fears.
My soul is diseased with words of disgust and rot,
My own family and blood being the suppliers of my tears.
So I seek away to the internet to live my fantasy joys,
Whether it is blogging or merely being away.
It's been the greatest escape since I left the age of toys,
But I miss that golden era more and more each passing day.
