As A Flower Danielle Means More
If I were a flower I would be a lotus flower. Though, not just the regular pink lotus flower. I would be the color of an orange/pink sunset. The kind of sunset that makes you stop and appreciate the beauty of nature.
The colors signify my childhood from past experiences of sitting on my deck or lying on my trampoline watching the sunset. I would spend hours just laying out there appreciating the beauty of what was around me. Being raised by the beach I always had a great view of the sunset over the ocean. This was one of my favorite things about summer.
The reason why I chose the lotus flower from thousands of other flowers is because it is different. It is different from the generic regular rose. I also feel that it has more meaning than any other flower because most flowers are commercialized and I feel like this is one of the more rare flowers. The lotus flower symbolizes the purity of heart and mind. It also represents good health, long life, honor, and good luck. I liked that the idea of the flower represents so many good things. Also, I love how the lotus flower is grown in muddy water than rises above the surface with such a beautiful look. The flower then closes at night and sinks again to rise at early dawn and open once more. I find this flower to be one of the most amazing parts of nature as well.
Everyone is different in his or her own way. Just like a fingerprint, a name has special meaning and also represents a person. Every name is a different flower, whether it is a lily or chrysanthemum. My name happens to be a lotus, as unique as me. The lotus formed from the colors of my child hood is what makes it beautiful and special.
