Samantha Deal- An up and coming news reporter who is eager to learn and knows how to make people laugh
Superman- A great looking guy who has super powers and knows how to make the ladies swoon
Billy- The shy camera man
Curtis Allers- Billys technologically advanced friend
The Joker- Batman's super villain who has a sudden interest in Superman

9:30 A.M.- Scene One

Superman- Boom! Pow! Punch! Kick! No one fear, Superman is here!

Samantha-Um, excuse me, could you say that one more time into the microphone? Sorry, sometimes *whack* this thing *whack* doesn’t work all the time. Now then, one more time looking into the camera! Big enthusiasm! We’re on in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. (Drastic change in tone of voice, personality, and facial expressions when on air) Hi Rick! Samantha Deal here with Superman. For the rest of the day I will be getting the inside scoop on what it is like to be a superhero. Who knows what fun adventures I will have. In the following day, I will report to everybody. Anything you have to say to the public, Superman?

Superman- Ouve, this is going to be a long day...


9:32 A.M.- Scene Two

Billy- And... We’re off! Nice job Samantha, the camera sure does love you!

Samantha- And I sure love the camera (Fixing her hair in her reflection from the glare of the camera screen). So, what fun stuff are we about to embark on: fighting supervillains, meeting up with some of your superhero buddies. Spiderman? Thor? Wonder Woman! She’s my favorite you know. Well enough talking, let’s get going!

Superman- Yay! (With sarcasm in his tone and facial expression)

Samantha- I know! I’m so excited I signed up for this!

Superman- Don’t you understand what sarcasm is?!


9:53 A.M- Scene Three

Superman- So this is the lair, DON’T TOUCH A THING!(Says this like he means it). Everything in here is EXTREMELY expensive. Now please, for the sake of my career as a superhero-

(Right in the middle of Superman talking, he gets interrupted by a huge CRASH!)

Samantha- Opps, I didn’t mean to do that.

Superman- It’s okay, I never liked my first cape anyway. (Lets out a small sob or two, meanwhile his phone tells him that he is getting a text message)

BLOOP-DIDDLY-BLOOP, BLOOP-DIDDLY-BLOOP, BLOOP-DIDDLY-BLOOP!


Superman- (Superman looks at his phone and knows that something is up) Looks like you guys are about to get your first glimpse of a superhero at work.

Billy- And this early in the morning?! I got shot gun!

Samantha- Get in the van, this is going to be a wild ride!


10:02 A.M- Scene Four

Billy- I wonder where we are going? I don’t know, but I better get the fingerprints off of my camera cause this is going to be good.

Samantha- Don’t get your hopes up Billy, you will get that big break of yours... Sometime.

Billy- Thanks and I’m sure you are going to get your big break as a news reporter for CNN, I just know it! Can I ask you a question, just out of curiosity you know?

Samantha- Go ahead, shoot.

Billy- Do you like Superman? I mean, I see the way you look at him and talk to him like its nothing but I can tell when his eyes and your eyes meet there is something there... You know what I mean?

Samantha- What?! You’re crazy! I do NOT, and I repeat, NOT like him; he is kinda cute though... Never mind that, we’re here and it’s time to get your camera ready anyway... Lets go.

(Samantha and Billy get out of the van and see Superman in the distance fighting with a Supervillain that they don’t recognize)

Samantha- Alright Billy let’s get rolling, I’m feeling good.

Billy- We are recording in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Samantha- Hey Rick! Samantha here with some breaking news on my day with Superman. There’s no going back now, Superman just got a message that he needs to be here at city hall fighting what looks like... The Joker?! I thought he was Batman’s villain; well anything can happen. I mean it’s Superman for Pete’s sake! Let’s get a closer look.


(Billy zooms in on the fight when he sees something that is out of the ordinary; Billy makes the cut sign and stops recording)

Samantha- Why did you put me off the air? I thought I was doing a good job.

Billy- It’s not about that, you were doing great! But, I think you should take a look at this...


(He says this in a feeble voice and puts his finger to Superman)

Samantha- Is Superman getting kidnapped?! Come on, we have to help him!

Billy- So you do like him! I knew it!

Samantha- Oh will you shut up already and let’s get a move on before they get too far... Come on, we will worry about your camera later, if anything would happen to it Rick would replace it anyway. Now I’m serious... LET’S GO!

Billy- Alright, but you don’t have to be so snippy.


10:34 A.M. Scene Five

Samantha- The last time I saw them they went to the left of Sycamore Street and we lost them there.

Billy- Then where did they go?

Samantha- That’s a good question that I am determined to find out.



Billy- Maybe if we went back to his lair we could find something; you saw all of the maps and trackers he had in there, one of them should give us a clue to where he is.

Samantha- Okay, let’s get in the van and speed off to Superhero Headquarters!

Billy- Fine, but can I drive?(He has a flat tone in his voice like he is getting annoyed)

Samantha- Sure, but drive fast because we need to get him back.


11:01 A.M. Scene Six

(Samantha and Billy get to his lair and start frantically looking for things to help him where Superman is)

Billy- If I were Superman, what would I bring with me if I were in distress? (puzzled tone)

Samantha- That’s a good way of thinking, look around for things like trackers or something that beeps. (she is about to ramble on and on and on but Billy finds something that might help)

Billy- Hey Sam, (in and unsure tone) I think that this might help.

(Billy is pointing to a huge electronic map on a wall that has red blinking dots)

Samantha- What is it, why are they blinking?

Billy- I think that’s where we are going to find Superman... You see these blinking dots?

Samantha- Of course I do, how could I miss em’!

Billy- That’s it! How could you miss it! How could you miss Superman?! I think he wanted people to know where he is if he were missing! All we have to do is hack into the system, find out what blinking dots are his, locate him, get him back, so you can get that job, and I can get my new camera, and everything will be back to normal! Right? (pleading to Samantha)

Samantha- I think so, whatever we can do to get everything back to normal... Do you know how to hack into a high-tech computer system?

Billy- I think I might have just the kind of guy for the job! (starting to smirk at Samantha)

11:36 A.M. Scene Seven

Curtis- Hey ya there Billy! Oh my software! Is that really Samantha Deal from channel 8 news!? If you are, will you sign my shirt? I’m a HUGE fan of your work! (Curtis pulls out a marker and eagerly awaits Samantha to sign)

Billy- Sorry, but maybe another time, we have some important business to attend to in finding one of the world’s most iconic superheroes.

Curtis- So why do you need me here? I knew I would have been dragged into something like this. You do this on your own.

Samantha- Wait! (She says this right before Curtis is about to leave) You have to help us hack into all of THIS mess (referring to the map behind her) so we can find Superman, get Billy his new camera, and for me to get my dream job as a NBC field reporter. If you do this I will sign your shirt... AND give you a behind the scenes tour and showing of me and Billy on a field report. Now will you do it? (practically pleading)
Billy- Yeah! And we will even throw in a brunch with Samantha!

Samantha- What?!

Curtis- I’ll do it.

Billy- Now then, we have a computer to hack! (a huge smirk on his face)

Curtis- You’re right, let me run outside and get my supplies and we will get this show on the road.

(In 10 minutes, Curtis comes back with enough stuff to survive in a forest for 3 weeks but is ready to get to work)

Samantha- Wow! That’s a lot of wires, cables, and colors. I REALLY hope you are going to be able to hack into this computer or else we will have nowhere else to go after this is over.

Billy- I really hope this works.

Curtis- Why are you all so worried? You have a professional on your hands.

(In the 3 hours to come ahead there is button pushing, wires and wires touching and creating a spark of light, and a BUNCH of numbers and letters in combinations and codes)

Billy- How long have we been here?(bored out of his mind)

Samantha- 3 hours... (looks at her watch) and counting.

Curtis- It’s done, Superman is in an old chemical factory in a neighboring community...

Billy/Samantha- (looking at each other when said) Midland!

Curtis- Let me finish! You will have to go through a series of complicated directions to get through the entire building. It is about to become a big pile of rubble if not gone through correctly. Do you understand?

Samantha/Billy- Yes. (nodding at the same time)

Curtis- I will get the directions printed out and you will be headed out on your way. Oh, and Samantha, don’t forget about our brunch date! (smiles and walks away with his cables and wires)

12:08 P.M. Scene Eight

(Samantha and Billy grab the directions to navigate through the building, get into the van and are on their way to Midland)

(Once at the old chemical factory, they navigate through the building with no problem, but the real problem starts when they find Superman)

Samantha- I think I hear him Billy! Come on... Quickly!

Billy- I think I hear him too! (Thinks for a second) I have a bad feeling though.

(They get to the top floor and hide behind some old crates and watch the Joker and Superman having a conversation)

Joker- When I harness your power I will be able to overthrow Batman and Robin Hood, and I will become the most powerful villain in the world! (laughs maniacally)

Superman- You will never get away with this!

Samantha- Oh my gosh, this can’t happen to him! He has to have his powers or else he will be just... The powerless Superman, we have to come up with something (thinks for a second) I think I have a plan, come with me!

Billy- Whoa! Slow down there sister!

12:33 Scene Nine

(Samantha and Billy come up with a full proof plan to destroy the Joker and get Superman out with nothing but a scratch on his finger)

Samantha- Do you understand the plan Billy?

Billy- I think so... I hope so. (sounding nervous in his voice)

Samantha- Alright then, let’s go break out of this place with Superman in tow.

(They get out of their hiding places behind old crates and follow through with their plan)

The Joker- What? How did you get in here?! I had this place full of traps!

Billy- We are too smart for your traps you dirty villain! I’ve always wanted to say that! (looking at Samantha when said)

(Billy sprints up to the Joker and kicks him in the gut and takes him off balance with another kick to the legs)

Samantha- I guess you're not smart enough for people from a news crew! Billy start untying Superman, I’ll tie up the Joker.

(Billy gets Superman untied and Samantha gets the Joker tied up where Superman used to be)

Superman- Man, I thought this was going to be one of the most miserable days of my life, but now it’s looking like one of the best days! You guys were amazing! Billy, did you come up with that plan?

Billy- No, Samantha did!

Samantha- Yup, it was all me!

Superman- Well that deserves some frozen yogurt! My treat for you guys.

Samantha- Awesome! Fro-yo is my favorite!

Billy- Shall we get in the van?

Superman- Yes we shall.


And with that everyone got their dream: Curtis got his brunch and tour with Samantha and Billy... That was a doozy because of Curtis's endless babbling!Billy got his new camera, the SQ7, which has the most advanced zoom and clarity while filming. Samantha... eventually got to be a reporter for NBC News. She is still a field scout and has gotten more ratings by 15%! The Joker is in jail and will not being seeing anyone anytime soon. Superman, well, is still Superman and always will be!
