The Hands of Time
In time, the greatest things in life will grow.
Give them time to show all of their colors.
Like a moonflower whose leaves will only show,
In the depths of night when the moon does blur.
Like a tree that takes it time to grow strong,
Strength comes by waiting for the good things of life.
Just like a redwood on the golden coast,
Grows to heights above the heads of men.
But number twelve the clock strikes coaxing night.
The clock of life surprises just as well,
But the surprise is not a lovely sight.
It only beckons the hot jaws of hell.
Time does give but time does take away,
Your life and with all words you have to say.
