The once white snow is now gray and bleak
Dismal sky's the catalyst for dejected spirits
exuberant conducts now sickly and weak
Exhausted of the once jubilant midwinter

Gusts of cold once welcome now blustery
To all in the barren glacial chill
Flurries like powdered chalk now slushy
Marking the conclusion of a once jubilant midwinter
