Dreamer's Lullaby
Sleep, daughter, and when you wake—
You’ll sit beside a sparkling lake
You’ll stretch out your hand, and feel the sea—
The rippling water of your dreams
Rest, sister, and be at peace—
You’ll find your feet in a tranquil stream
Breathe it in, hear the sounds—
Weave yourself a daisy crown
Close your eyes, friend, lay your head on the pillow—
You’ll curl beneath a whispering willow
Laugh and dance, twirl and sigh—
Here in your dream, no one cries
Now I shall hush, and I shall rest—
I’ll join you on a mountain crest
The wind blows soft, your rosy face beams—
Our Elysium in the Land of Dreams
