Just Like You
The pain is not evident to those all around.
But it feels as if all it does is surround you.
The sadness you feel, it's in your eyes.
You want someone to see it, but it's as if no one even tries.
The mask you wear, it is painted with a smile.
But you know that the way you feel will last for more than just a little while.
Look around at the others.
You may not be able to see it, but they're fighting too.
They're fighting to keep everything hidden, just like you.
The pain. The sadness. They have it too.
They wear their own masks...
Just like you.
