Duck Heaven
Awake before daybreak,
Shells, calls, decoys, gun,
Head to the old faithful duck blind,
Murky, shallow water,
The stench of swamp mud that only some enjoy,
This is duck heaven,
Cloudy day,
Bit of wind,
This is duck heaven,
Birds flying all day,
Ducks working like boomerangs,
Birds landing like airplanes out of gas,
This is duck heaven,
POW! POW! POW!
Gunfire rains down like the “Perfect Storm”,
Every bird drops,
This is duck heaven,
