A ROCK THROW FAIL
As the rock smashed my finger, I tried to hold in my scream, but I just said, “MMMMM, Help me get the rock off my hand.” Six years ago, my friend and I were throwing rocks in the river and I smashed my finger.

It all started at my friend’s house where we got bored so we thought we could go to the river. We started going down towards the river but we got a bit side tracked. We finally got to the river and thought what if we got caught since we weren’t supposed to be at the river. We soon forgot about that and started a competition on throwing rocks which ended quickly so we just started throwing rocks. I saw a big one and I told my friend to help me pick up the rock. He came over and we put our hands under it and started lifting. We barely got it off the ground when my friend dropped the rock and it fell on to my finger. When it did all that was going through my head was,” I’m scared my parents are going to find out that we were at the river,” and,” get the rock off my finger.” So I said, “MMMMM, help me get the rock off my hand!”
At my house I told my parents that I smashed my finger, I thought it was broken but no it was just badly smashed and bruised. My parents also said that the nail might fall off. A few days later when I thought the nail was going to fall off, my cousin’s dad told me. “Come here. I won’t do anything.” I was a little cautious, but when I did, he ripped the nail off.
After that day I learned a few things. One, never pick something up that you’re sure you can’t pick up and Two, never trust my cousin’s dad.
