Dismissing with subordinance,
Can quickly change with just one glance,
Colors change with many a face,
Feelings are shown with time and place

Light peeks out through chirps in a beak,
Nature booms and reaches its peak,
The world resorts to slow retreat,
Then work is done, our eyelids meet

Paints strewn across as tints increase,
Gorgeous colors yet fail to cease,
Even as ruthless shades control,
Sunset pays back the morning’s toll,

Flash photography strikes quickly,
The great drum beats mercilessly,
Wispy to thick, dark drying ink,
Tears fall as Heaven drains it’s sink

Shape shifters meander along,
The eye of the day sings its song,
The bane of night finds fabled elves
Twinkling secrets show themselves

Vast depths cloud human perception
Light and dark play like inception
How does one know what happens there
Common sense goes into thin air

We contemplate in times that passed
How long will this sky of ours last
Is it really above us now
Or a way to make others bow
