My Path
My path, it wanders through the trees
The birds hum and the squirrels tease
Into the forest it leads afar
To where the shadows sway
To the music of the stars
My path twists to this voice as it takes me away
So quiet here, no sound
Silence befalls this worn ground
But to its heart my path treads
Where the fairies leap and twirl
And the flowers nod their heads
My path smiles to their secret world
Finally I can break free
The shadows beneath my feet dance for the trees
My path gently slopes to an end here
At the edge of a tumbling sea
The wind nudges me and whispers in my ear
“Who you have become is what you want to be.”
